Two underage individuals perished in a mining accident while engaged in coal theft

Ambikapur. (13:04): Two minors lost their lives in a coal mine collapse while engaging in coal theft in Ambikapur. The incident occurred at a coal mine in the Sanibarra Sukhari Bhandar forest village of Udaipur.

Reportedly, the two minors ventured into the illegal coal mine located in Banda Doda, adjacent to the Sukhri Bhandar forest, to extract coal. Early in the morning, while they were extracting coal, the mine unexpectedly collapsed, burying both children under the debris.

Upon receiving news of the incident, a significant number of villagers rushed to the site. The Udaipur police also arrived promptly, clearing the debris and attempting to rescue the trapped children. Unfortunately, both boys, identified as Budhlal (15 years) and Tiranga (16 years), had succumbed to the accident by the time they were reached. Currently, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident after registering the case.
