(14:05): A tragic accident occurred late Monday night in the district, where a car lost control and collided with the divider. Six people lost their lives in the accident, while one person sustained serious injuries. The car was severely damaged, and the police had to make significant efforts to retrieve the bodies.
The incident took place near Allahbakhshpur toll plaza on National Highway 09 in Hapur district. The out-of-control car crossed the divider and was hit by a speeding truck. Seven people were traveling in the car, all of whom were seriously injured and immediately taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared six of them dead.
The accident caused a traffic jam on the highway, causing inconvenience to drivers. The speeding car, headed from Hapur to Moradabad, lost control upon reaching village Allabakhshpur on National Highway-9 in Kotwali area. It collided with the divider and overturned onto the road from Moradabad to Delhi.
The collision with an oncoming truck resulted in the car being blown to pieces. Villagers rushed to the scene upon hearing the loud crash, and with police assistance, they worked to extricate the trapped individuals. However, it took a long time to free them from the wreckage.
All the injured were eventually taken to the local hospital by ambulance, where Sachin, son of Ram Kishan from Dalu Heda district, Meerut, was referred to Meerut due to his critical condition. The injured identified the other occupants of the car as Anupam, Ankit, Jeetu, Shankar, Sandeep, and an unknown person, all residents of the Loni area of Ghaziabad.
