Bareilly. (26:04): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, known for delivering new messages from every platform, will once again attempt to influence the political landscape during his road show in Bareilly. His convoy will pass by the Banke Bihari Temple in the city, offering a view of the deity from the road itself. This presents an opportunity for him to convey a new political message by paying respects to Banke Bihari. Preparations have been made at the temple, with space left vacant for the PM’s entry through barricades. The priest will welcome him by blowing a conch shell, marking a historic moment where the Prime Minister reaches out to the public while paying obeisance to Lord Krishna during the Lok Sabha elections.
The road show will commence from Swayamvar Baratghar, passing through Banke Bihari Temple, Shivaji Chowk, and concluding at the martyr Pankaj Arora Pillar, where the Prime Minister and Chief Minister may offer flowers at the martyr’s statue. Along the way, a stop is planned at the square for the PM to pay respects to Shivaji.
The idol of Banke Bihari Ji was consecrated in 1982, and this marks the first occasion since then that the Prime Minister and Chief Minister will pass by admiring the temple’s idols. Arrangements have been made for their potential visit to the temple, with JP Bhatia, the temple committee patron, expressing excitement as no world-class leader has visited since the temple’s establishment.
The anticipated arrival of the PM and CM is a matter of pride not only for the temple but for the entire area. Regional councilor Satish Katib noted that during the road show, the leaders will seek blessings in front of the temple, accompanied by conch shell blows from the priests and a welcoming ceremony with 50 people playing Damru drums.
As this is the Prime Minister’s first road show in Bareilly, there is considerable enthusiasm among city residents. On Thursday, many people gathered to witness the scale of preparations, including the creation of 44 boxes along the 1200-meter road show route for flower showers and tableau presentations. Marigold flowers were also brought in from a truck for the road show at the BJP candidate’s election office near Trivatinath Temple.
