Dharamjaigarh. (08:04): “In the Dharamjaigarh area of the district, a tragic incident occurred where a class 8 student was brutally beaten by their school friends, resulting in the student’s demise. The police have detained all three minor students involved in the case. The incident took place in Ganeshpur village near Sisaringa.”
Regarding this incident, Dharamjaigarh SDOP Siddhant Tiwari stated that on Saturday, a dispute arose between four minor students residing in Ganeshpur village over a longstanding issue. Subsequently, three of the students collectively assaulted a female student. Tragically, the student succumbed to her injuries on Monday morning due to internal trauma. Tiwari explained that the three assailants had been embroiled in a conflict with the deceased student since Holi, involving verbal exchanges. The deceased student had also been verbally abusive towards the three assailants. The altercation escalated on Saturday, leading to the severe beating of the victim by all three assailants. Following the incident, the assailants returned home without informing their families. It was only when the victim experienced severe pain that she disclosed the assault to her family members. Despite receiving medical attention, the student passed away on Monday morning. All the involved individuals are in either the 7th or 8th grade. The police have apprehended the three minors involved, who will be presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
