Raipur. (06:05): Under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Raipur Range Amresh Mishra and Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur Santosh Singh, numerous actions and arrests have been made by the police in compliance with the Model Code of Conduct. Additional preparations have been made for voting day.
Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh has urged residents to participate actively in the voting process, emphasizing the importance of strengthening democracy through voting. For election duty in Raipur district, 18 CAPF companies, 7 Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) companies, and 1995 other police personnel, home guards, forest guards, and Kotwars have been deployed, along with District Police Force and CAPF personnel.
To ensure peaceful voting, 24 Flying Squad Teams (FST), 25 Static Surveillance Teams (SST), and 5 other police checkpoints are continuously checking vehicles and individuals. About 90 patrolling parties, 16 AD parties, five additional superintendents of police, and thirteen city superintendents of police/deputy superintendents of police have been deployed.
All social media platforms are being monitored by the Police through a Social Media Monitoring Cell, and carrying mobile phones inside the polling booth is prohibited. Violating the secrecy of voting is a legal offense, and strict action will be taken against anyone sharing photos/videos of voting on social media. Webcasting is being done by the Election Commission through CCTV cameras at polling stations.
Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh reiterated the appeal for enthusiastic participation in the voting process, emphasizing the importance of strengthening democracy. Today, officials including Collector Gaurav Singh and SSP Santosh Singh inspected the Strong Room Sejbahar and BTI and visited the polling booths to ensure all arrangements are in place.
