Chhattisgarh. (05:04): Yesterday evening, Surguja IG Ankit Garg conducted a surprise inspection at the Latori outpost. He suspended the outpost in-charge due to identified lapses and halted a head constable’s one-year increment. Additionally, a leader was issued a challan for violating the Motor Vehicle Act during the inspection.
Ankit Garg visited Surguja to assess the law and order situation. During his inspection at the Latoree police post in Surajpur district, he found discrepancies in the journal entries, delayed schedules, and unsigned receipts under the Motor Vehicle Act. Files for Mulahija, Famis Nalis, and Istgasa were also found to be disorganized. Consequently, IG Garg suspended Latori outpost in-charge Dhananjay Pathak (ASI) and issued a show cause notice to security guard Ravi Kindo. SDOP Surajpur Nandita Thakur was assigned as the investigating officer, with a directive to submit the report within seven days.
Furthermore, IG Garg inspected the Jaynagar police check post in Ajabnagar village on National Highway 43. He reprimanded a leader driving a safari car with tinted windows and directed issuance of a Rs 3,000 challan for the violation.
