Raigarh. (22:03): On November 27, 2023, Geetabai Sarathi filed a report at Kotwali police station, Raigarh, alleging that her son Sachin Sarathi, along with Sameer Oraon and others, vandalized the garden of Madhubanpara. Sachin’s father, Hemlal Sarathi, was attacked by Raju Oraon during the incident, resulting in injuries to Sachin and Hemlal.
Sameer Oraon and his associates were initially booked for assault, but Section 307 was later added to the case due to the severity of the injuries. One accused was arrested on February 5, 2024, and sent to judicial custody, while the remaining accused were absconding. Acting on a tip-off, the Kotwali police apprehended the absconding accused, including Sameer Oraon, Raju Oraon, Shankar Oraon, Fox alias Prakash Oraon, and a juvenile, and remanded them to the competent court.
