(11:05): Applications were invited through online medium from the interested bidders for the arrangement of premises attached to the premises of retail shops of local and foreign liquor operating under district Raigarh, in which permission for consumption of liquor will be granted under the license conditions, which were accepted as per the instructions issued by the Excise Department. Following this, after the voting date, on 10th May 2024, Srijan meeting room was opened in Collectorate Raigarh.
Applications were invited for 26 out of 36 liquor shops in district Raigarh, out of which a total of 31 applications for 13 liquor shops were received through online medium. Before carrying out the actual proceedings on the day of selection, the bidders were informed about the process. The process was shown on a big screen for the convenience of all the bidders. According to the number of applications for all 13 shops, the first, second and third highest bidders have been selected by the District Level Committee from the NIC database. The selected first, second and third bidders have been directed to appear in person within two working days with original documents in support of the information mentioned in their tender form.
The selected first bidder also has to pay the advance revenue determined by the Excise Department within two working days of selection. The process of issuing licenses will be completed by the district level subcommittee on the same day after examining the documents. In case of failure in document verification and deposit of advance revenue, the selection will automatically be canceled and the applicant selected in the second order will be given a chance and the amount of earnest money deposited by such unsuccessfully selected applicant at the time of application will be confiscated as per clause 13.1 of the instructions. According to this, you will be debarred from holding any excise license anywhere in the state in future. 266 percent more bids have been received than the reserve price fixed for 13 liquor shops of district Raigarh. During the process, a total of 44 eligible tenders were also opened for 17 shops in Sarangarh district. During the tender process, Collector Raigarh, Collector Sarangarh, Additional Collector, District Informatics Officer NIC, Assistant Commissioner Excise Raigarh, District Excise Officer Sarangarh including Excise Department staff and bidders were present.
