(12:04): Under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Lakhan Patle, and City Superintendent of Police Mr. Keshari Nandan Nayak, ongoing efforts are being made to crackdown on gambling and betting within the police station area.
Acting on a tip received via telephone on 11.04.2024, it was reported that a person named Saurabh Mishra was betting on the ongoing Indian Premier League cricket match near the Baniyan Tree. Upon receiving this information, authorities swiftly reached the location. Saurabh Mishra, aged 26, son of Sushil Mishra from Bhawani Nagar police station, Khamhardih Raipur, was found in possession of various items including a Vivo mobile phone, screenshots indicating links to gambling websites, a Satta Patti written copy, and cash amounting to Rs. 13,420. He was arrested and sent on judicial remand. Inspector Shruti Singh, along with officers P.R. 353 Devendra Dhruv, P.R. 1684 Sachin Pandey, and P.R. 2300 Narendra Kumar Kurre played crucial roles in the arrest.
