Raigarh. (05:05): A special awareness campaign is underway for 175 polling centers with low voter turnout in Raigarh district. The initiative, called ‘Know Your Booth,’ is being specially organized by the district administration to raise voter awareness in these areas where voting percentages were below average during the last assembly elections. This campaign has been initiated under the leadership of Collector Shri Karthikeya Goyal.
Voters are being encouraged to visit their polling stations, and voter slips are being distributed through Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in these identified areas. Competitions such as painting, rangoli, and quiz competitions are being organized to engage voters. Information is provided on how to reach polling stations, as well as arrangements made for voters on voting day, such as tents, shade, drinking water, ORS, and coolers where available. Events are being held in both urban and rural areas with low voter turnout to raise awareness and encourage people to exercise their franchise.
The ‘Know Your Booth’ program is witnessing active participation from the community. Competitions at the booth level, particularly Rangoli, are spreading awareness among voters. Participants in the program are also taking an oath to vote. This special initiative by the Raigarh district administration is playing a crucial role in connecting voters with the democratic process.
