Saraipali. (24:03): Holi was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Government Primary and Upper Primary School, Sirboda. The festivities began with a puja to the photograph of Mother Saraswati, the goddess of learning.
Head teacher Dharmendranath Rana enlightened the children about the spiritual and mythological significance of Holi. Emphasizing love and goodwill, he highlighted Holi’s symbolism of triumphing over evil.
Teacher Mahesh Kumar Sahu encouraged natural Holi celebrations and urged caution in applying colors. He emphasized the festival’s message of unity and brotherhood.
Teacher Anita Sahu shared insights about Holika Dahan and the significance of the colorful festival with the children.
All the teachers extended their warm wishes to the children for Holi. A quiz competition about Holi was organized, with Kumari Varsha of class VII securing the top position and receiving a prize.
Following the quiz, the children joyously played Holi, applying gulal and flowers to each other and their teachers. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and happiness as the children exchanged Holi greetings.
