Raipur. (23:03): In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and to maintain security and law enforcement, all police stations in Raipur district are conducting thorough checks on suspicious individuals and vehicles, as directed by Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh.
During routine vehicle checks conducted by a joint team from Mandir Hasaud police station and the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit on March 22, 2024, near the toll plaza under the Mandir Hasaud police station area, cash was discovered inside a car. Upon interrogation, the individual in possession of the cash failed to produce valid documents for its transportation. Consequently, the team seized an amount totaling Rs. 6,03,000 (six lakh three thousand rupees) and is forwarding it to the Election Commission committee for further investigation.
