Raigarh. (14:05): Bhupdevpur police took prompt action on crimes related to women and within a few hours, on the report of molestation, the accused youth was arrested and sent on remand. The matter was quite sensitive, the accused had sent dirty, objectionable and obscene photos to the victim girl due to which the girl was extremely upset.
According to the information, this morning a girl living under the police station area of Bhupdevpur police station filed an application against Vijendra Karsh resident Malkharouda Sakti and caused mental trauma by sending obscene photos of the girl on WhatsApp and Instagram against her wishes and making lewd comments, outraging her modesty. On the application of the girl, a crime was registered against the accused under section 354 (a), 509 (b) IPC.
The victim girl told in her detailed statement that she had known Vijendra Karsh for about 3-4 years. Vijendra used to work as a driver in SKS company, both of them used to talk. Vijendra proposed marriage and physically abused her for about 3 years, after which he refused to marry her saying that he would marry another girl in July 2023. Then a report was lodged against Vijendra Karsh in Bhupdevpur police station. Bhupdevpur police had registered rape case 131/2023 against Vijendra Karsh and arrested Vijendra and sent him on remand. Vijendra is currently on bail, Vijendra is again contacting and harassing him by sending objectionable photos from his social media account.
Taking the complaint of the girl seriously, the Bhupdevpur police arrested the accused for the crime of molestation and sent the accused Vijendra Karsh, father Surtilal Karsh, age 38 years, on judicial remand to village Mukta police station and tehsil Malkharoda district Sakti. The accused was trying to abscond after getting information about the commission of a crime, but he was caught by the Bhupdevpur police near village Chaple by laying siege on the highway.
Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel and the guidance of Additional SP Akash Markam and SDOP Kharsia Prabhat Patel, the accused was identified and arrested in the process by Police Station Incharge Inspector Ramkinkar Yadav, Assistant Sub Inspector Devdas Mahant, Head Constable Shambhu Pandey, Constable Vijay Patel and Bodhraam. Sidar has played a commendable role.
