Drivers are being educated about traffic rules instead of receiving fines; no challans will be issued upon completion.
As part of the “Nijat” campaign against drug abuse, the police are also working to prevent drunk driving.
Raipur. (23:03): As per the directives of SSP Santosh Singh, Raipur Traffic Police has launched a new initiative to enhance the organization and safety of the city’s traffic system while promoting awareness about traffic rules. This initiative, known as the “Traffic School,” involves conducting sessions at intersections to educate violating drivers about traffic regulations. Trained traffic officials are stationed at these intersections to provide information and training to drivers who commit violations. Additionally, drivers are asked to fill out a traffic resolution form pledging not to repeat the violation in the future.
In efforts to enhance the city’s traffic system, the police are rigorously enforcing fines on violators while also raising awareness about traffic rules. As part of this initiative, Senior Superintendent of Police Raipur, Santosh Singh, has instructed the implementation of a traffic training program directly at intersections. Today, a training session was conducted at Shastri Chowk, Marine Drive, and Railway Station Chowk under his guidance. SSP Raipur inaugurated the program at Shastri Chowk, urging violating drivers to adhere to traffic regulations and commit to being responsible citizens by following rules in the future.
