Date:

Drivers are being educated about traffic rules instead of receiving fines; no challans will be issued upon completion.

As part of the “Nijat” campaign against drug abuse, the police are also working to prevent drunk driving.

Raipur. (23:03): As per the directives of SSP Santosh Singh, Raipur Traffic Police has launched a new initiative to enhance the organization and safety of the city’s traffic system while promoting awareness about traffic rules. This initiative, known as the “Traffic School,” involves conducting sessions at intersections to educate violating drivers about traffic regulations. Trained traffic officials are stationed at these intersections to provide information and training to drivers who commit violations. Additionally, drivers are asked to fill out a traffic resolution form pledging not to repeat the violation in the future.17.2 1 Raipur Traffic Police introduces "Traffic School" at Chowk intersections to educate rule-breaking drivers

Continuing the initiative, a traffic school program was conducted near Telibandha pond by Additional Superintendent of Police Traffic Raipur, Om Prakash Sharma, and at the railway station premises by Additional Superintendent of Police Protocol Raipur, Dr. Anurag Jha. Violating drivers were educated about traffic regulations, and a traffic resolution letter was filled out, committing them to obeying rules in the future.

The primary aim of the Traffic School program is to immediately address rule-violating drivers and provide them with comprehensive information about traffic regulations. Classes are conducted to educate them, and those who demonstrate understanding by correctly answering questions are excused without penalty. Those who fail are required to retake the classes. Additionally, pledge forms are signed to ensure future compliance, promoting orderly and safe traffic flow in the city.

Speaking at Shastri Chowk, SSP Raipur highlighted that traffic police in Raipur will regularly organize traffic schools at intersections. These sessions aim to educate violating drivers about traffic rules, consequences for violations, and obtain their commitment to following regulations through resolution letters.
