Raipur. (16:04): In preparation for the Lok Sabha elections, and to ensure security, law enforcement, and adherence to the model code of conduct, the Raipur Police, under the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police City Mr. Lakhan Patle, Additional Superintendent of Police West Mr. Daulat Ram Porte, and Additional Superintendent of Police Traffic Mr. O.P. Sharma, along with City Superintendent of Police Civil Line, Azad Chowk, Kotwali, and Urla, are conducting intensive inspections.
Supervised by Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic, Bharat Mata Chowk, the inspections cover key areas such as in front of Ram Mandir, N.I.T., Shastri Chowk, and Lakhe Nagar Chowk, as well as police stations including Gudhiyari and Telibandha. Commencing at 09:30 pm, these inspections involve the establishment of checkpoints by police and traffic personnel at Saraswati Nagar, Maudhapara, and Purani Basti.
“Intensive vehicle inspections are underway to thwart the illegal transportation of prohibited election-related materials such as liquor, cash, gold, and silver, as well as to deter motorcyclists under the influence of alcohol, speeding bikers, tricycles, and miscreants. Additionally, checks are being conducted on bikers and motorcycles without proper number plates.”
