Raigarh. (07:04): Raigarh Police is on high alert ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. A special campaign has been launched to execute outstanding warrants, ensuring a peaceful electoral process. In this initiative, Raigarh Police has apprehended 66 individuals, including 18 with permanent warrants.
In accordance with the directives of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, Raigarh Police is diligently pursuing investigations into absconding suspects and warrants at detection stations. To ensure the fair conduct of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 in a secure environment, the administration and police are strictly adhering to the model code of conduct, with police teams monitoring all activities closely.
Under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, a special campaign was initiated on Sunday, April 6, aimed at maximizing the execution of outstanding warrants. Across the district, a total of 66 warrants were executed, comprising 18 permanent warrants and 48 arrest warrants.
Sub-division wise breakdown reveals that Kotwali police station in Raigarh sub-division executed 5 arrest warrants, Chakradharnagar executed 8, Jutmil executed 5 arrests and 3 permanent warrants, Pusaur executed 3 arrests and 1 permanent warrant, Kotrarod executed 3 arrests and 1 permanent warrant, totaling 29 warrants served.
In Kharsia sub-division, 15 warrants were executed, including 6 arrests and 2 permanent warrants in Kharsia police station, 2 arrests and 3 permanent warrants in outpost Kharsia, and 1 arrest warrant each in Chaal and Bhupdevpur.
From Kapu police station in Dharamjaigarh sub-division, 9 arrest warrants were served, with 3 permanent warrants from Lailunga, 2 arrest warrants from Dharamjaigarh, and 1 arrest warrant from outpost Rairumakhurd, totaling 15 warrants served.
Tamnar police station executed 4 permanent warrants and 1 arrest warrant, while Kapitpathara police station executed 1 arrest warrant and 1 permanent warrant. Vigorous action will continue against absconding suspects and those disrupting peace.
