Bagicha/Jashpur. (10:03): In addition to the mid-day meal program, Chhattisgarh schools are introducing ‘Nyota Bhojan’ through the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Yojana. This initiative allows donors to contribute nutritious food on special occasions, enhancing children’s access to food and nutrition.
In Government Primary School Ondka, Bagicha Development Block, Jashpur district, prominent citizens of the village and teachers from nearby schools were invited to join the children in a special feast. The menu included dal fry, potatoes, cauliflower, pea curry, tomato chutney, puri rice, papad, and sweet halwa. The children were visibly delighted, eagerly enjoying the meal and requesting their favorite dishes. This community engagement initiative aimed at enhancing nutrition levels was praised by onlookers for its commendable approach.
During the event, Principal Reader Jagatranath Pahadia and Assistant Teachers Sankatla Sinha and Vijay Gupta encouraged villagers to celebrate significant occasions with the school children, emphasizing the importance of sharing joyous moments with them.
