Bijapur. (16:04): The polling team embarked on their journey to the Naxal-affected regions of Chhattisgarh via MI-17 helicopter, as informed by Bijapur Collector Anurag Pandey. He stated, “We dispatch teams three days ahead of the voting day. All our polling personnel have arrived since yesterday. They have been provided with all necessary materials, including EVM machines. They will commence their journey to various areas starting today.”
It’s notable that voting for 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh will be conducted across three phases on April 19, April 26, and May 7. Bastar will be the only constituency where voting will occur in the first phase on April 19.
Similarly, in Narayanpur, polling parties are being airlifted to their respective polling centers via helicopters.
