Raigarh. (08:03): The administration and police are actively preventing illegal sand and mineral activities in the district.
Acting on SP Divyang Kumar Patel’s orders, a joint team led by trainee IPS Akash Shrishrimal conducted raids on March 7 in Kharsia. They targeted areas suspected of illegal sand activities, seizing five tractors engaged in unauthorized sand transportation near Palgada on NH49. The drivers, including Aryan Rathiya, Ajay Kumar Sidar, Rajendra Kumar Tandon, Rajendra Giri, and Lalit Sidar, were caught without proper documents. Kharsia Police took action against them under Section 102 CrPC and informed the Mineral Department.
