Raigarh. (13:05): Kotra Road Police has arrested 4 accused in the case of robbery of diesel and mobile phone from two youths who were carrying diesel in a drum in a camper vehicle near Vrindavan Chowk in the month of December last year, one of whom is accused of purchasing diesel through robbery.

Presently, an application was filed by Dogadhkel police station Bhupdevpur and a report was filed that on 22nd December at around 10.00 pm, 970 liters of diesel (worth ₹ 93,518) was filled in 04 plastic drums from Ghadi Chowk Adivasi Petrol Pump, Raigarh, which was taken in the Kemper vehicle by his helper Tapas Mudda. They were going with Dhongadhkel when four boys came in two scooties near Vrindavan Chowk and took them to Calcutta Dhaba on NH 49 highway, got the diesel loaded with the drum and snatched their mobile phones and drove them away. On the application, a crime was registered against unknown accused under section 392 IPC in Kotra Road police station.
During the crime investigation and identification of the accused, Kotra Road Inspector Rakesh Mishra, the in-charge of the police station, on the guidance of senior officers, after checking the description of the victim and the CCTV footage installed around the incident spot, detained the suspect of the case, Vaibhav Singh Thakur, resident of Baikunthpur, who on the night of 22 December killed his friend. Mohit Sharma, Vinay alias Vivek, along with Vinayak Singh, took control of the vehicle carrying diesel on a camper vehicle near Lal Pari Dhaba in front of Vrindavan Chowk and took it to the highway for selling diesel. They got the diesel drum kept on the vehicle removed and looted the mobile phones of the driver and helper of the vehicle, switched them on, looted 970 liters of diesel and sold it after taking it to Khirsagar’s house. Told to divide the money from diesel sale among themselves. Police recovered Rs 12,700 cash and a Vivo mobile on the memorandum of accused Vaibhav Singh Thakur, Scooty MP 04 SL 5552 used in the incident and Rs 14500 in cash from accused Vinayak Singh, Rs 14,000 from accused Vinay alias Vivek and phone-pay on the mobile of accused Khirsagar. Screenshots of 4 transactions in which money is mentioned to be sent to the accused have been seized. Robbery accused Mohit Sharma is absconding. In this case, by extending Section 411 IPC, Kotra Road Police has seized a total of Rs 41,200, a scooter and a mobile from the accused and sent them on remand.
