Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the first installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana today on March 10. Learn about his remarks during the event.
Chhattisgarh. (10:03): The address began with “Jai Johar.” I humbly greet Maa Danteshwari, Maa Bamleshwari, and Maa Mahamaya, extending my respects to the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh. Two weeks ago, I inaugurated projects worth Rs 35,000 crore in your state. Today, I have the privilege of launching the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, empowering women.
The scheme promises Rs 1,000 monthly to over 70 lakh women in Chhattisgarh. The government has fulfilled its promise, releasing the first installment of Rs 655 crore. Despite my inability to be with you physically due to prior commitments in Uttar Pradesh, I am speaking to you from Kashi, where I prayed for the nation’s well-being at Baba Vishwanath’s shrine. Today, as blessings from Kashi, Rs 1,000 is reaching your accounts. This trust in Chhattisgarh’s government is my guarantee. Empowering mothers and sisters empowers the entire family, a priority of our government. We’ve witnessed significant achievements in women’s empowerment, including financial inclusion and self-help groups. Building on this success, our aim is to make three crore sisters “Lakhpati Didis.” Tomorrow, join us at 10:11 to witness the NaMo Drone Didi scheme’s impact. We’ll provide drones and training to women, revolutionizing agriculture. Ensuring women’s health has been pivotal, including maternal and child health care and sanitation. I commend Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and his team for swiftly implementing the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Our government will continue fulfilling promises for Chhattisgarh’s prosperity. I convey blessings from Kashi and extend my best wishes to all of you during this summer season.
