Person arrested in possession of a sharp knife

Raipur. (02:05): Under the direction of Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Raipur, Mr. Lakhan Patle, Additional Superintendent of Police, City, and Mr. Keshari Nandan Nayak, City Superintendent of Police, Raipur, there have been continuous efforts to control the sale of knives during the Lok Sabha elections in the police station area. Today, on 02.05.2024, acting on a telephone tip-off that a boy named Ishwar Deep was carrying a knife in Parvati Nagar, the police arrested the accused Ishwar Deep alias Ishu, son of Bhagirathi Deep, aged 19 years.

A sharp steel knife was recovered from Ishwar Deep in front of witnesses near Parvati Nagar Shiv Temple, by the police team from Police Station Khamhardih, District Raipur. A case under Section 25 of the Arms Act, crime number 188/2024, was registered against the accused, who has been taken into custody pending investigation and remanded to judicial custody.

Inspector Shruti Singh, in-charge of Khamhardih Police Station, along with Assistant Sub Inspector Tikam Singh Thakur and officers R-2454 Murli Yadav and R-2157 Akhilesh Sahu, played a pivotal role in the operation.

Accused’s Name: Ishwar Deep alias Ishu, son of Bhagirathi Deep, aged 19 years, residing in Parvati Nagar near Shiv Mandir, Police Station Khamhardih, District Raipur.
