To ensure peaceful celebrations for both festivals, the local administration and police officials held peace committee meetings at the district headquarters and tehsil level.
Yesterday, a peace committee meeting took place at the police post Kharsia premises, attended by SDM Kharsia, SDOP Kharsia, Tehsildar, the station in-charge, and the outpost in-charge of Kharsia, alongside distinguished members of the Muslim community, public representatives, and local media personnel. The meeting focused on ensuring peaceful and harmonious celebrations of Eid by adhering to established guidelines. Additionally, a gathering of Muslim community leaders was convened by Police Station Incharge Inspector Ashirwad Rahatgaonkar at the Tamnar police station premises, continuing the discourse on fostering peace and cooperation.
Today, a joint peace committee meeting of Hindu and Muslim representatives was convened at the Gharghoda police station, attended by SDOP Dharamjaygarh, Tehsildar Gharghoda, the police station in-charge, Nayab Tehsildar, and the CMO of the Nagar Panchayat. The meeting focused on ensuring the peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr and the Ram Navami procession programs. Discussions revolved around various aspects, including traffic management, water supply, and cleanliness, with the Muslim community voicing their concerns. Officials assured to improve arrangements in these areas. Emphasis was placed on upholding the code of conduct throughout the festivities.
