Sakti. (02:05): In the Sakti district of Chhattisgarh, over 100 individuals suddenly fell ill after consuming Prasad during a religious event. All affected individuals have been hospitalized. It’s reported that complaints of food poisoning arose immediately after consuming the Prasad.
The incident occurred during the Ram Saptah festival in Domanpur village of Dabhra tehsil. Rasgulla and Poha were distributed as Prasad. Shortly after consuming it, people began experiencing symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea. Around 70 individuals were admitted to Dabhra Community Health Center, approximately 25 to Primary Health Center Sapos, and some to Raigarh District Hospital.
Dr. Madhuri Chandra, the Block Medical Officer of Dabhra, stated that the condition of the hospitalized patients is stable.
