Raigarh. (15:03): A conference titled ‘Chhattisgarh Vision 2047’ was organized today by the Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, inaugurated by Housing and Environment Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary. Minister Chaudhary emphasized the need for adaptation to changing times and aligning efforts for future generations. He reiterated the government’s commitment, led by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, to see Chhattisgarh develop alongside India by 2047, with sustainable development as a cornerstone. The Amritkal Vision Document @ 2047 is being formulated as a long-term goal, set to be launched on November 1, coinciding with Chhattisgarh’s foundation day.

Minister Shri Choudhary emphasized the importance of industrial development in the state, noting significant growth in this sector. He stressed the need for simultaneous growth in the service sector over the next five years, with plans underway to establish Nava Raipur as an Innovation and IT Hub within three years. Additionally, he announced the forthcoming introduction of a new industrial policy in Chhattisgarh, aimed at harmonizing the core and service sectors.

Highlighting the environmental challenges, the Housing and Environment Minister underscored that vehicle emissions in urban areas contribute more to pollution than industries. He called for a shift in mindset and emphasized the role of every citizen in environmental conservation.

Addressing the conference on Vision 2047, Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary of Chhattisgarh Good Governance and Convergence Department, Mr. Rahul Bhagat, urged proactive preparations for the future. He drew parallels between human health and the vitality of trees and plants, emphasizing their interconnectedness. The conference on Chhattisgarh – Vision 2047, aimed at advancing the Developed India initiative during the country’s long-lasting independence era, saw the participation of various stakeholders. These included Mrs. R. Shangita, President of the Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, Mr. P. Arun Prasad, Member Secretary, and Mr. Ayaz Tamboli, Commissioner of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, alongside representatives from key sectors such as integrated steel and sponge iron plants, coal washeries, thermal power plants, coal mines, and iron ore mines. Also in attendance were stakeholders from prominent hospitals, sponge iron associations, rolling mills, mini steel plants, and members of the Minor Mineral Association. Commissioners from Durg and Bhilai Municipal Corporation were also part of the event.
