On May 7, over two lakh voters will cast their votes in 306 polling stations starting from 7 am. Adequate arrangements have been made, and Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh bid farewell to the polling officers with sweets, while villagers welcomed them with music and flowers

Korea. (06:05): The third phase of voting for the Korba Lok Sabha parliamentary seat will take place on May 7 from 7 am to 6 pm. On May 6, Collector and District Election Officer Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh conducted remote voting for the polling officers of 278 polling stations under Baikunthpur Assembly and 78 polling stations under Sonhat (partial) Assembly after performing puja at the Polling Material Distribution Center, Government Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Baikunthpur.

The polling parties were sent off with sweets at 9.10 am. Similarly, Sangwari polling parties led by women were flagged off by General Observer Shri Kailash Sukhdev Pagare, Collector and District Election Officer Vinay Kumar Langeh appointed for the Lok Sabha elections. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ashutosh Chaturvedi, Additional Collector Mr. Arun Kumar Markam, and other officials were present.

Congratulating the polling officers and employees, Observer Mr. Pagare and Collector Mr. Langeh emphasized the importance of smooth election conduct and urged them to contact their sector officer in case of any problems during voting. The Collector instructed the polling parties to conduct the election work impartially, freely, and peacefully, following the Election Commission’s guidelines and their training.

Ten Sangwari polling stations have been set up in the district, with the operation handled by the presiding officer and all other women personnel. The district has a total of 2,07,292 voters, including 1,03,941 female voters, 1,03,344 male voters, and 7 third-gender voters.

The polling parties reached the polling centers safely, with the Collector and District Election Officer inspecting the distribution of polling materials throughout the day. Villagers welcomed the polling parties with drums, musical instruments, sandalwood paste, and flower garlands at various polling centers such as Adarsh Polling Center Primary School Salganwa Kala, Chhingura, Jogia, Patna, Amala, Ranai, Mahora, and Anga. Arrangements for water, shade, and restrooms have been made at the polling stations.
