Kharsia police raided Bhelwadih village following a tip-off about gambling, seizing Rs 13,050 from six individuals

Kharsia police arrested two individuals for selling Mahua liquor in separate operations in Sonbasra village.

Raigarh. (11:04): Under the directive of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel to combat social crimes, Kharsia police, led by SDOP Kharsia Prabhat Kumar Patel and Trainee IPS/Station Incharge Kharsia Akash Shree Shree Mal, are actively cracking down on illegal liquor, gambling, and betting.

On April 9th, a joint team from Police Station Kharsia and Outpost Kharsia, led by trainee IPS Akash Shrishrimal, conducted a raid in Bhelwadih village, apprehending six gamblers who were caught red-handed with playing cards and a substantial amount of cash. Additionally, in response to reports of illegal liquor sales in Sonbarsa village, Kharsia police arrested two individuals, seizing Mahua liquor and cash. The successful operations involved the coordinated efforts of several officers, including sub-inspector Sanjay Nag and assistant sub-inspectors Lakshmi Rathore and Hemant Kashyap, among others.
