During interrogation, the suspects revealed that they changed the car’s number plate before transporting it to Banaras via Aligarh, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bareilly, and Sitapur. Delhi Police also learned that the culprits intended to take the Fortuner to Nagaland.

The accused revealed to Delhi Police that they meticulously planned the car theft, intending to steal JP Nadda’s vehicle using a Creta car. They successfully stole a Toyota Fortuner on March 19, belonging to the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. After changing the car’s number plate to avoid suspicion, they transported it to Banaras via Aligarh, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bareilly, Sitapur, and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. This route ultimately led to the recovery of the stolen car in Banaras.

The stolen Toyota Fortuner belonged to JP Nadda’s wife, taken from the Govindpuri Service Center while it was being serviced. It was noticed missing when the driver returned after dinner. The car, with a Himachal Pradesh number plate, was later spotted on CCTV footage heading towards Gurugram.
