Rayagada (08/03): Mahila Mandal of J K Paper Mills, Rayagada, celebrated International Women’s Day on the 8th of March 2025 with much pomp and vigor.
The members of the club participated in a Mahila-a-thon wherein they walked draped in handloom sarees of Odisha as a symbol of unity, expressing pride in Odisha craftsmanship, and showing solidarity to the women weavers. The club also organized a throwball tournament for its members. The league match resulted in selecting the two finalist teams. The final match was conducted on 8th under the refereeship of Mr. Tunivada Vijay Kumar. The prize distribution was done by Mr. Biswajeet Dwivedi, Vice President Commercial, Mr. Raghavendra Hebbar, Vice President Manufacturing, and Dr. Neeta Dwivedi, Vice President of Mahila Mandal. Mrs. Sabita Samal, Secretary of the Mahila Mandal, members of the Mahila Mandal, their spouses, and others witnessed the finals.
The function was ably supported by Mr. Shiva Prasad Rath, Assistant Manager, Township, and his staff, who provided all logistical support for the smooth execution of the events. Mr. Deepak Samal, Chief Manager Security, provided necessary assistance for the Mahil-a-thon.
