Raipur. (12:04): Under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Lakhan Patle, and City Superintendent of Police Mr. Keshari Nandan Nayak, continuous efforts are being made to curb illegal activities such as street vending, knife selling, gambling, betting, and illegal liquor sales in the police station area. On 11.04.2024, information was received from an informant regarding illegal liquor sales by a person named Rohit Dhiwar in Kachna near Gharsapara pond.
Acting on this tip, Rohit, also known as Dokra Dhiwar and son of Santosh Dhiwar, aged 24 and residing in Mandalpara Kachna, Police Station Khamhardih Raipur, was apprehended. He was found in possession of 32 pouches of Jammu Special English Liquor totaling 5.760 liters, valued at Rs. 4,480, along with Rs. 300 in sale proceeds. The police seized the evidence, arrested the accused, and sent him on judicial remand. Inspector Shruti Singh, along with officers P.R. 353 Devendra Dhruv, P.R. 1684 Sachin Pandey, R. 992 Pawan Tripathi, and R. 2255 Moti Lal Sahu played significant roles in the arrest.
