Sarangarh. (08:04): In Bala village, Godihari, under Sarangarh City Kotwali of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, a case of fighting due to longstanding enmity has been reported. City Kotwali Police has filed charges under IPC 294, 506, 323, 34 against the accused Bidu Bareth, Monu Tiwari, Hemant Yadav, and Bhushan Yadav, based on a complaint by the victim, Avadhesh Patel.
According to information received, Govardhan Patel, age 29, residing in Gautiya Para, Godihari, recounted that on 29.03.2024, a dispute arose with Bittu Bareth over shoes and slippers at Vishnu Patel’s house in the village. Subsequently, on 06.04.2024, at 8:30 pm, Biddu Bareth called him, claiming it was a personal matter. Responding to the call, he met Biddu Bareth and Jairam Patel at Atal Chowk. Biddu expressed a desire to discuss something. Soon after, a M.O.S. driven by Bhushan Badal arrived, from which Monu Tiwari and Hemant Badav emerged and assaulted them with a bicycle gear. Govardhan sustained injuries to his hands and left leg. Bhushan Yadav remained in the car, while Meenu Tiwari and Hemant Yadav hurled threats and abuses. When Govardhan called for help, Monu Tiwari, Hemant Yadav, and Bhushan Yadav fled to Sarangarh-Bilhandas Police Station. Govardhan revealed a prior altercation with Monu Tiwari and Hemant Yadav during Vishkarma Guja, leading to their animosity towards him. Govardhan suspects Biddu Bareth orchestrated the attack, collaborating with Monu Tiwari and Hemant Yadav. City Kotwali police registered a case under IPC sections 294, 506, 323, 34 based on Awadhesh Patel’s complaint against Biddu Bareth, Monu Tiwari, Hemant Yadav, and Bhushan Yadav for the assault.
