In four operations, officials seized a Nexa car, a motorcycle, 9 boxes of MP label English liquor, 36 beers, and 13 pav of other English liquor from 5 individuals

Raigarh. (15:03): In efforts to combat crimes and road accidents, Raigarh Superintendent of Police, Divyang Kumar Patel, directed all police stations and outpost in-charges to conduct a special campaign addressing complaints of illegal liquor service in highway hotels and dhabas. Following these instructions, a joint team led by trainee IPS Akash Shrishrimal, stationed in Kharsia, along with police stations Chaal and Gharghoda, conducted raids on suspicious establishments along the Gharghoda to Chaal main road last night. Illegal liquor seizures were made as follows:

1. From Police Station Bark Up: 200 pieces of Goa Whiskey liquor, car CG 13 AV 7871, and an Oppo mobile from accused Ranjit Gupta.
2. From Police Station Officer: 36 beers, Goa English Liquor, and Whiskey Liquor from accused Sufal Das Mahant.
3. From Police Station Officer: 100 pieces of Goa English liquor and mobile phones from accused Naveen Patel and Ghansi Patel.
4. From Police Station Gharghoda Addl: 48 pieces of Mc Dowells No 1 English liquor, along with a motorcycle used in transportation, from accused Lakhan Lal Soni CG 13AQ 4565.

Under SP Divyang Kumar Patel’s guidance, commendable efforts were made by Police Station Incharges Chaal and Gharghoda and their teams during this campaign, led by Trainee IPS Akash Shrishrimal. The crackdown on illegal liquor will persist in the future.

Seized illegal liquor and property:

• 405 pav MP Label Goa Liquor – ₹44,550
• 48 pav McDowall No.1 – ₹10,560
• 36 cans/beers – ₹6,480
• 9 pav Other English Liquor – ₹1,860 Total liquor value: ₹63,450

Additionally, one Nexa car valued at ₹12 lakh, one motorcycle HF Deluxe valued at ₹40,000, and 3 mobile phones were seized, amounting to an approximate total of ₹13,33,450.
