Raipur. (18:05): In Chhattisgarh, strict action will now be taken against government employees who have been absent from offices and schools for extended periods and have neglected their responsibilities. General Administration Department Secretary Mukesh Bansal has instructed that departmental inquiries against such employees be completed within six months, leading to their dismissal if found guilty.
In Chhattisgarh, prolonged absenteeism and negligence in government duties, followed by retroactive leave approval and salary claims, will no longer be tolerated. Such employees, officers, and teachers will face severe consequences, including potential job loss. The General Administration Department is taking a firm stance to ensure good governance.
General Administration Department Secretary Mukesh Bansal has issued a circular to all department heads, secretaries, revenue boards, commissioners, collectors, and district panchayat CEOs, urging strict action against negligent employees to ensure future compliance.
The department emphasized that during the inquiry, suspension should not be an option as it allows employees to claim salaries. Instead, after completing the inquiry within six months, if found guilty, the employees should face a service break entry in their service book or, in cases of serious negligence, be dismissed from service.
