Encroachment in Nawapara Panchayat continues unchecked despite years of awareness.
Dharamjaigarh. (10:03): Illegal construction of houses and shops on government land in villages is rampant nowadays. The negligence of local Gram Panchayats and the Revenue Department has emboldened encroachers. Urgent action is needed to prevent the unavailability of land even for government buildings.

Illegal construction has been ongoing for many years, with individuals encroaching upon government land in Navapara Panchayat village, situated in the new Tehsil Chaal.13.2 For years, illegal construction has encroached on government land in Navapara Panchayat village, Tehsil Chaal.

Behind the government complex in Navapara village, there are three significant government lands (Khasra no. 142, 145, 146) where illegal construction has been rampant. Upon investigation, it becomes evident that while the Gram Panchayat has allotted land to one or two needy individuals, the majority of the land remains encroached upon without any action taken.

It raises questions about whether the authorities are turning a blind eye due to the status or connections of the encroachers. Illegal structures, including a two-storey building resembling a residential house and a makeshift parking area built by a retired employee, further illustrate the extent of encroachment.

The silence of the villagers suggests a possible vested interest in maintaining the status quo, knowing that they might not face consequences for their actions.
