Raipur. (27:04): Upon receiving reports from the applicants, cases of vehicle theft were registered against unknown accused at the police station. The details of the cases are as follows: Crime Number- 89/24 Section 379 IPC Crime Number- 141/24 Section 379 IPC.
In the year 2024, when continuous vehicle thefts were reported from the Tikrapara police station area, senior officers were promptly informed about the incidents. Mr. Senior Superintendent of Police, Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, took the matter seriously and directed efforts to trace the stolen vehicles and apprehend the unknown accused.
Under the guidance of Mr. Additional Superintendent of Police West, Mr. Daulat Ram Porte, and City Superintendent of Police Purani Basti, Mr. Rajesh Dewangan, Inspector Durgesh Raote of Tikrapara police station formed a dedicated team to investigate the theft cases.
The team immediately analyzed CCTV footage from the incident site and gathered information about previously arrested suspects in theft cases. They also interrogated informers but couldn’t gather information about the unknown accused. However, by closely observing the modus operandi of the thefts and analyzing timings, the team identified possible locations and kept surveillance in plain clothes.
On April 25, 2024, near Gokul Nagar liquor shop, the team observed a person named Govardhan Das alias Vicky breaking the lock of a parked vehicle and attempting to steal it. When the police team tried to apprehend him, he fled, but was eventually caught. Through rigorous interrogation, the team gathered information about the accused involved in the vehicle thefts and managed to recover stolen vehicles from five suspects.

In the proceedings, Inspector Durgesh Raote, Police Station Incharge Tikrapara, Assistant Sub Inspector Atulesh Rai, Neelmani Sahu, Head Constable Mahesh Netam, Lady Head Constable Savita Gaur, Constable Ashwan Sahu, Ravindra Rajput, Sunil Pathak, Vivek Yadav, Anand Sharma, Arun Dhruv, Tukeshwar Rajak, Ramakant Singh, Rooplal Dhruvanshi, Chandrabhan Singh Bhadauria, and Devchand Sinha played important roles.
