Raipur. (10:03): Deputy CM Arun Sao hails today as historic for Chhattisgarh, as 70 lakh mothers and sisters receive the first Mahtari Vandan Yojana installment.
In a media interaction, Deputy CM Arun Sao criticized Congress for its conditional statements regarding Mahtari Vandan, accusing them of attacking mothers and sisters. He claimed that the Congress had not taken steps towards the self-reliance of women, contrasting it with the current scheme benefiting over 70 lakh women.
Regarding the security provided to 43 BJP leaders, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao remarked that considering the situation in Bastar, security measures are essential for precaution and safety purposes.
Regarding the announcement of candidates for other Congress seats, he commented that the Congress is showing signs of fear. They were apprehensive during the assembly elections, and now they are showing the same fear in the Lok Sabha elections. They have reintroduced candidates whom the public had previously rejected. He predicted that the public would once again reject them and grant all 11 seats to the BJP.
