(17:04): Under the supervision of Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Raipur, Mr. Lakhan Patle, Additional Superintendent of Police, City, and Mr. Keshari Nandan Nayak, City Superintendent of Police, Raipur, proactive measures are being taken against criminal gangs and knife suppliers in the police station area in light of the Lok Sabha elections.
Today, on April 16, 2024, acting on information received from an informant regarding a young man named Pradeep Das carrying a knife near the Kachna Nalapara drain on the main road, the police swiftly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the accused, Pradeep Das Manikpuri, son of Sunder Das Manikpuri, aged 23, was apprehended with a sharp steel blade in his possession in front of witnesses from Mathpara, Kachna police station, Khamhardih, Raipur. A case under Section 25 of the Arms Act, numbered 177/2024, was registered against the accused, who was then remanded into judicial custody pending investigation.
The successful arrest was made possible with the guidance of Inspector Shruti Singh, police station in-charge Khamhardih, Raipur, along with the contributions of PR-142 Deepak Patel, R-2454 Murali Yadav, and R-2157 Akhilesh Sahu.
