Sarangarh. (25:04): After the campaigning for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded, the major parties of the country have shifted their focus to campaigning for the third phase. In the Raigarh Lok Sabha constituency, Congress has nominated Smt. Dr. Maneka Devi Singh, the daughter of the royal family, while BJP has fielded Radheshyam Rathiya as its candidate. Previously, the Sarangarh Lok Sabha constituency used to witness big stalwarts contesting elections, but after its abolition in delimitation and the emergence of Raigarh Lok Sabha constituency, no candidate has won from the Sarangarh region so far.
This time, the Congress Party has chosen a local resident of Sarangarh as its candidate, making the elections more interesting. Both major parties are actively engaging in public relations to woo voters. Today, in Kosir, the largest village of the Sarangarh Assembly, a significant election rally has been organized. This region has been crucial in Sarangarh Assembly elections, with MLAs from this area often winning through elections.
In this rally, State Congress Committee President Deepak Baij and Chandan Yadav, National Secretary in-charge of Chhattisgarh, will arrive at the Mandi premises in Kosir by helicopter. They will be joined by Mrs. Uttari Ganpat Jangde, MLA Sarangarh, and Mrs. Kavita Kavita to mobilize support. Pran Lahare, MLA from Bilaigarh, Raja Pushpa Devi Singh, former MP Arun Malakar, and District Congress President will also be present to ensure the success of the program. Purushottam Sahu, President of Block Congress Committee Sarangarh, Pawan Aggarwal, President of Block Congress Committee Sarangarh Nagar, and Sunita Vishnu Chandra, President of Block Congress Committee Ulkhar Kosir, are actively working and have appealed to residents of the entire area to attend in large numbers.
