Raigarh. (13:03): A district-level committee meeting, chaired by Collector Karthikeya Goyal, discussed the implementation of the Compensation Scheme 2022 for Hit-and-Run Motor Accident Victims. This scheme replaces the Solasium Scheme 1989 and provides Rs 2.00 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured person.
Collector Shri Goyal reviewed the implementation of the Hit and Run Motor Accident Victims Compensation Scheme, 2022 in the district, emphasizing the need for effective publicity to ensure public awareness. He directed regular review of applications received under the scheme for prompt resolution. Present at the meeting were CMHO Raigarh Dr. R.N. Mandavi, DSP Traffic Ramesh Chandra, Tehsildar Raigarh Lomas Miri, Branch Manager of The New India Insurance Company Limited Raigarh, and committee members Gaurav Sharma and Kaushal Kumar Aggarwal.
