Collector Goyal emphasized the strict implementation of the Model Code of Conduct in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He urged all teams to take immediate action on any complaints received and work in coordination. Additionally, Collector Goyal addressed concerns regarding potential transportation of cash, jewelry, liquor, and inducements during the elections, instructing teams to remain vigilant. The GST department provided guidance on the necessity of tax invoices or e-way bills for vehicles transporting election-related items. Instructions were also given to monitor warehouses and godowns for illegal storage and to prevent illegal liquor transportation across interstate borders. Collector Goyal emphasized the importance of maintaining fairness and courtesy during inspections and instructed teams to ensure videography for transparency.
