Balod. (12:03): Today, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai distributed input assistance to farmers in Balod district under the Krishak Unnati Yojana. Additionally, he inaugurated 65 development projects worth over Rs 28 crore and conducted groundbreaking ceremonies for them.
As part of the Krishak Unnati Yojana, events were held at 151 locations across the state, attracting over 10 lakh farmers. During these events, input assistance totaling Rs 13,320 crore was disbursed to more than 24,72,000 farmers statewide. In Balod district alone, over Rs 686 crore 57 lakh was distributed to 1,44,481 farmers through the scheme.
He additionally inaugurated and conducted groundbreaking ceremonies for 65 development projects, with a total cost exceeding Rs 28 crore, in the district. This included inaugurating 20 projects worth Rs 20 crore 87 lakh and performing the Bhoomi Pujan for 45 projects valued at Rs 7 crore 12 lakh.
For the Sanjari Balod assembly constituency, the Chief Minister inaugurated 10 projects amounting to Rs 7 crore 56 lakh and conducted the Bhoomi Pujan for 18 projects worth Rs 6 crore 29 lakh. Similarly, in the Daundilohara assembly constituency, 7 projects totaling Rs 6 crore 90 lakh were inaugurated, while in the Gunderdehi assembly constituency, 3 projects valued at Rs 6 crore 38 lakh were inaugurated, alongside the Bhumi Pujan for 27 projects costing Rs 83 lakh.
