Most areas of the state may experience severe thunderstorms, with the possibility of lightning and rain in some places. Thunder and lightning are expected in various areas of the state starting from this evening. Today, on March 16, severe thunderstorms are anticipated in certain areas of Kabirdham, Mungeli, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Janjgir, Balodabazar, Raipur, Bemetara, Durg, Mahasamund, Dhamtari, Gariaband, Balod, Kanker, and Rajnandgaon districts.
On March 17, strong thunderstorms are expected in Jashpur, Surguja, Raigarh, Janjgir, Korba, Bilaspur, Balodabazar, Mahasamund, Raipur, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Kanker, Balod, Durg, and Bemetara, with the possibility of heavy rain in some areas. Similarly, on March 18, thunderstorms and lightning are likely in Balrampur, Surguja, Jashpur, Raigarh, Janjgir, Mungeli, Bilaspur, Korba, Koriya, and Kabirdham.
