Chhattisgarh records a voter turnout of 71.98%, with Surguja registering the highest number of votes

Raigarh. (08:05): After the completion of the third phase of voting on Tuesday, the Election Commission released the final data for 7 seats of the state on Wednesday, May 8. After thoroughly reviewing all the data based on feedback from various places, the final voting figures were released.

According to the Election Commission, there was a 71.98% voter turnout across all seven seats in the third phase.

Here are the voter turnout percentages for each seat:

  • Surguja Lok Sabha seat had the highest turnout with 79.89%.
  • Bilaspur Lok Sabha constituency had the lowest turnout with 64.77%.
  • Raipur witnessed a turnout of 66.82%.
  • Raigarh Lok Sabha constituency had a turnout of 78.85%.
  • Janjgir, the only SC seat in the state, recorded a voter turnout of 67.56%.
  • Korba, the most closely contested seat, saw a turnout of 75.63%.
  • Durg, adjacent to the capital, had a turnout of 73.68%.
