Raigarh. (22:03): The arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sparked outrage, with Raigarh’s Aam Aadmi Party denouncing it as an undeclared emergency aimed at stifling democracy. They accuse Prime Minister Modi of attempting to eliminate opposition ahead of elections. The Aam Aadmi Party vows to vehemently oppose this assault on democracy.
In a significant development, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has detained Arvind Kejriwal, marking the second instance of a Chief Minister’s arrest by the ED. However, the Aam Aadmi Party announces that Kejriwal will continue to govern from jail, a unprecedented move. The party rejects the notion of selecting a new leader, insisting that Kejriwal will lead the government even behind bars.
Protests have erupted in Delhi against Kejriwal’s arrest, with Aam Aadmi Party leaders Atishi Marlina and Saurabh among those detained by the police. The arrest has drawn condemnation from various quarters, including the Congress party.
