Raigarh. (11:04): A case of scamming a girl with promises of a government job has surfaced at AIIMS in the capital, Raipur. Following the complaint, the police have apprehended the woman from Raipur.
As per reports, the Chakradhar Nagar Police have arrested a Raipur resident for falsely offering a job at AIIMS Hospital in the capital and have detained her. The arrested individual, residing in New Rajendra Nagar, is also implicated in four additional cases of fraud. Moreover, a case has been filed against her at Khamtarai police station in Raipur.
Recently, Meena Patel from Panjri Plant reported to the Chakradhar Nagar police station that Shobhana Das had solicited Rs 1.5 lakh from her for a job at AIIMS Hospital. She had already given Rs 25 thousand in cash to Das, who failed to fulfill her promise. During the investigation, the police tracked down and arrested Das in Raipur. Subsequently, four more instances of fraud by Das, offering government jobs in various parts of Chhattisgarh, came to light.
Prashant Rao Aher, the police station in-charge, confirmed that the woman has been apprehended from Raipur, and a case under section 420 has been registered. He also mentioned freezing the bank account of the accused, who had amassed significant amounts from job-seekers.
