Manendragarh. (02:05): The home voting initiative, flagged off by Collector and District Election Officer Mr. D. Rahul Venkat, commenced last morning. The polling team, tasked with ensuring that elderly and disabled voters above 85 years of age can vote at home, departed from the District Joint Office following a fixed route.
As part of this innovative initiative by the Election Commission of India, polling parties reached the residence of Shri Ramsipahi Pandey in Block Khadangwa Chanwaridand under District Manendragarh Chirmiri Bharatpur. The family of Shri Ram Sipahi Pandey eagerly awaited the polling party’s arrival.
At 96 years old, Shri Ram Sipahi Pandey, also the priest of Mahamaya temple located at Chanwaridand, was prepared to exercise his right to vote.
